BTS' Jungkook sways to 'Naatu Naatu' during live session

K-pop superband BTS member Jungkook was seen grooving to the track 'Naatu Naatu' from S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' during a live session with his fans on Weverse.

A clip from Jungkook's live while grooving and "vibing" to 'Naatu Naatu', originally picturised on NTR Jr. and Ram Charan, has taken over social media. Some could not even control themselves as Jungkook said 'RRR' while talking.

'Naatu Naatu' has been a flavour of the award season. It has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award this year. At the Oscars, the song is contending against tracks sung by Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

'RRR' stars NTR Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran and tells the fictional story of two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem and their fight against the British Raj.

Set in the 1920s, the plot explores the undocumented period in their lives when both the revolutionaries chose to go into obscurity before they began the fight for their country.

It was one odd game... But we were not brave, did not apply ourselves: Rohit

India skipper Rohit Sharma on Friday said his team was not brave and lacked application in the third Test against Australia here but described the nine-wicket hammering as "one odd game".

Trailing 0-2 in the series and having conceded the Border-Gavaskar trophy, Australia fought back strongly to record a memorable win and secure their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final on a rank turner at the Holkar Stadium.

"When you are playing on challenging pitches you have to bowl. We allowed their bowlers to bowl in one spot. Not to take any credit away from their bowlers, Nathan Lyon especially. We had to try and be brave, which I think we were not," Rohit said at the presentation ceremony.

Lyon returned excellent figures of 8/64 in India's second innings to pave the way for Australia's victory.

"One odd game can happen like that where things don't come together, but even then you need players to come together and chip in.

"We wanted a few guys to stand up but it didn't happen. We were slightly behind and we did not apply ourselves the way we would have liked to," he added.

SC order on Hindenburg issue: Gautam Adani says truth will prevail

Embattled tycoon Gautam Adani on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court order of a time-bound probe into allegations levelled by Hindenburg Research against his group, saying this will bring finality and truth will prevail.

Shortly after a bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud passed the order, Adani tweeted: "The Adani Group welcomes the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. It will bring finality in a time bound manner. Truth will prevail."

The Supreme Court on Thursday asked markets regulator Sebi to complete an investigation into US short-seller Hindenburg's allegations against Adani Group within two months.

It also ordered constituting an expert committee to review regulatory mechanism in view of the rout in share prices of Adani firms triggered by the Hindenburg allegations.

Dhoni an impressive captain and one of the best tacticians: Faf du Plessis

Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis believes Mahendra Singh Dhoni, among others, helped him mature as a leader, adding that the former India skipper is tactically one of the best in the business.

Du Plessis had two long stints with IPL side Chennai Super Kings -- 2011-2015 and 2018-2021 -- before he moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore as captain last season.

Du Plessis said when he realised he was not going to be a leader like former Proteas skipper Graeme Smith or Dhoni, he decided to just be himself.

"I think what was really good for me to go through (during his career) was the conviction that I am not going to be Graeme Smith as a captain, I'm not going to be Stephen Fleming as a captain, I'm not going to be MS Dhoni as a captain.

"In order for me to be true to who I am as a person, I need to be me. Because if you're not being you, then people will see through it, maybe not when you're doing well but definitely when you are under pressure, or under-performing, the real you will reveal itself," du Plessis said in a RCB podcast.

Messi and Putellas voted best players at FIFA awards again

World Cup champion Lionel Messi edged Kylian Mbappé again, this time to take FIFA's best men's player award.

The best women's player was Spain's Alexia Putellas for a second straight year.

After steering Argentina to World Cup glory in an epic final against Mbappé's France last year in Qatar, Messi won the best player vote against Mbappé and Karim Benzema and secured the FIFA prize for the seventh time in 14 years on Monday night.

He won the World Cup at his record-equaling fifth attempt.

“It was a crazy year for me,” Messi said. “I could fulfil my (World Cup) dream after fighting for it for so long. And in the end it happened, and it was the most beautiful thing of my career. It's the dream of every player, but very few can achieve it, so I'm thankful to God for being able to do it.”

The three players made the final shortlist in voting by a global panel of national team captains and coaches, selected journalists in each of FIFA's 211 member countries, plus fans online.

'Everything Everywhere All At Once', 'The White Lotus' sweep SAG Awards

The metaverse adventure movie 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' nabbed the best ensemble prize at the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening, reports 'Variety'.

The Michelle Yeoh-starrer also broke records, becoming the biggest film winner in the history of the show, sweeping nearly every category, 'Variety' adds.

But SAG highlights the small screen, as well as the big, notes 'Variety'. The awards-season favourite 'Abbott Elementary', a sitcom about teachers in an underfunded public school, won the best TV comedy ensemble statue. Another series that has been picking up awards, 'The White Lotus', a trenchant look at the over-privileged guests at an Italian resort, took home the best TV drama ensemble honour.

'Everything Everywhere All at Once', one of the few recent indies to break out in a big way at the box office, dominated the evening with four wins, followed by 'The White Lotus', which will be remembered for Jennifer Coolidge, with two victories.

'Everything Everywhere All at Once' has continued to build momentum during a marathon awards season, racking up top prizes as it barrels toward the Oscars in two weeks, adds 'Variety'.
